Free CRM software in India —
what "free" actually means.
Free plans exist, but almost all of them are capped in ways that matter once you're running GST billing and a team. Here's what to check before you commit.
"Free CRM software India" is one of the most searched phrases by small business owners setting up their first proper system — and for good reason. Paying for software before you know it fits your business feels backwards. The honest answer is: free CRM plans genuinely exist, but nearly all of them are free in a way designed to get you to upgrade, not to run your business on indefinitely.
What free CRM plans usually include
Most free tiers give you basic contact and lead storage, a simple pipeline view, and email logging for a small number of users — often 1 to 3. That's enough to test whether a CRM fits how you sell, but rarely enough to run day-to-day operations for an Indian small business that also needs GST billing, inventory and staff records in the same place.
Where free plans usually fall short
- User seats. Most free tiers cap out at 1–3 users, which doesn't cover a small sales or service team.
- GST billing. Free CRM plans are almost never GST-ready — billing, e-way bills and GST reports are typically a separate paid product entirely.
- Staff and attendance. Free CRM software is CRM-only. Payroll, leave and attendance (including selfie/GPS check-in for field or branch staff) usually aren't part of any CRM's free tier.
- Automation and support. Follow-up automation, WhatsApp integration and priority support are near-universally paid features.
A free trial vs a free plan
These are different things and worth telling apart. A free plan is permanently limited — you stay on it forever, capped. A free trial gives you the full paid product for a set period, so you can judge it properly before deciding. For a business that needs GST billing, inventory and staff attendance from day one — not just a contact list — a full-featured free trial is usually more useful than a permanently capped free plan.
CRM Force runs a 6-month free trial with every module included — CRM, GST billing, inventory, selfie + GPS staff attendance and an AI assistant — and no credit card required to start. If you outgrow it, plans start at ₹9,999/year with everything still bundled in, not sold as separate add-ons.
What to check before picking any "free" CRM
- Does the free tier include GST billing, or is that a separate paid product?
- How many users does the free tier actually allow?
- Is there a real trial of the full product, not just a permanently capped tier?
- Does it fit your specific trade, or is it a generic CRM you'll need to configure yourself? See our CRM software checklist for the full list.
If your business runs in one of CRM Force's 18 supported industries — from restaurants to gyms to finance and loan agencies — you can start the 6-month free trial pre-configured for your trade rather than building a generic setup from scratch.
